170 Ralston Avenue is a 2 1/2 story, 4 bay, rectangular plan, wood frame, stucco-clad, Tudor Revival, residential building. Constructed c. 1900, the slate-clad, side gable-roofed house is crossed by three gabled dormers with flared eaves. The house is half-timbered throughout, and is characterized by bracketed eaves, multi-pane window groupings, oriels, a pier-supported portico with bracketed vergeboards and pier-supported, set back side porches.
