279 Scotland Road
279 Scotland Road is a 2 1/2 story, 2 bay, irregular plan, Shingle style, stone and wood frame, residential building. Constructed c. 1885, the granite and patterned wood shingle-clad house has a hipped roof with cross gable and square corner tower. The ground floor is constructed of random granite blocks with tabbed Roman brick window and door surrounds. Additional details include a semi-hexagonal second floor bay surmounted by an overhanging, bracketed gable. The original entrance portico has been removed. The house was originally owned by C.E. Gibson. In 1904, it was part of the C. Osborne estate, and by 1911 it was owned by Mary Gordon. The original stable was converted to a residential building facing Vose Avenue.
