322 Hartford Road is a 2 1/2 story, 3 bay, rectangular plan, wood frame, Shingle style, residential building. Built c. 1895, the wood shingle-clad house has a side gambrel roof pierced with flared-eave, tent roof dormers, and a Doric column-supported, wrap-around porch. The use of one and two story, semi-hexagonal bays, as well as flared walls at the floor levels, adds plasticity and movement to the facade. In 1890, the house was owned by Alfred H. Brainard.
